Hello

We've started this blog to keep friends and family updated as to Brooke's recovery after his bicycle accident.
Here is a link to the Salt Lake Tribune article about the accident:

Peggy and Brooke:

Leon and I were horrified to hear the news, first from Linda last evening and then from the paper this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. As someone who also encountered the front end of an automobile while on a bike and who has watched other family members deal with spinal cord injuries, I know that the road back is long and not easy, but it is doable and worth the trip.

Regards,
Ellen Brady/Leon Hammond

Peggy and Brooke,

Sondra and I and our kids having been following Brooke's progress. We were horrified to hear of the accident itself but are heartened by the foot movement and other positive signs. We know that he's going to make it and are praying daily. Brooke, I know that someday we'll be back on Deseret Peak and the Pfeifferhorn.

With our love,
Geoff Aggeler

Dear Brooke & Peggy,
Like everyone else, I was shaken to the core and terribly saddened when I heard about the accident. I got to know Brooke when he and I did an individualized study on Thomas Merton when I was working on my MA in English at the U. I treasure that rare experience. Please know that you are in my prayers, and in the prayers of the Trappist monks in Huntsville.
Much Love,
Craig Helms
